The Mind of a Poetic Unsub by G.P.A. (Greatest Poet Alive)

Title: The Mind of a Poetic Unsub

Author: G.P.A. (Greatest Poet Alive)

Rating: 4

Headline: Look Inside the Poet

The Mind of a Poetic Unsub by G.P.A. (Greatest Poet Alive) gives the readers a glimpse into the poet’s life experiences. G.P.A. writes with flair and enough description that I felt as if I knew exactly what he was going through. Here are a few of my highlights:

Insufficient Funds – This poem explains the lengths a mother would go to so she can provide for her children.

My Side (of the story) – This poem is the story of a marriage dissolving; they’re spending their last anniversary together because they are both having affairs – her with a man and he with his poetry.

I Am (A Good Man) – He writes about seeing past a person’s appearance and seeing their substance; this was one of my favorites.

Dreamsnatcher – This is a very powerful poem about an abusive marriage and what happens when a son is tired of seeing his mom get beaten.

There were also two stand out haikus in Revenge and Staking Claim. I did not give The Mind of a Poetic Unsub 5 stars because I was not a fan of “The Land of Multiples” section. My absolute favorite poem of this collection is Lady Listen (Please). The poem is simply beautiful about being a gentleman as G.P.A. writes, “Never will you have to carry garbage, groceries, or anything else but my seed,” and because of this poem and the others mentioned I look forward to reading more by the Greatest Poet Alive.
